Student Programs

Photography Month offers a variety of opportunities for educational participation and outreach on a region wide level.

High Schools: Working on a district level, Viewpoint will provide access to its educational programs, which may be viewed at www.viewpointphotoartcenter.org. This program is ongoing at Viewpoint and will include special activities for Photography Month every year in April.

Additionally, Viewpoint will assist educators with the creation of an exhibit program on their campus if they choose, or provide guest lectures when requested, and open the print critique program to high school students who are participating in a photography program.

Community Colleges and Universities: In addition to the ongoing student programs at Viewpoint, there will also be a special Open Call Exhibit for college and high school students with cash prizes. The exhibit is entitled: The Humor Around Us. This special exhibit will be dedicated completely to photography students. The exhibit will be presented at Viewpoint in the Step Up Gallery and entry is now open up through January 2 at midnight. Here’s a link to the information on the Viewpoint website. INFO
